A Real Post

This is a real post as indicated by said title.

Currently i am working on a children's book project for my Honors World Civ class, and i keep telling myself that this will help me in the future. Yea. Children's Books. That's really gonna come into use if i ever write as an adult:

Potential agent: "What is your fictional writing experience?"

Me: "Well, i wrote a couple books with my friend when i was a teenager."

Potential agent: "Ah very nice. Anything else?"

Me: "Actually, i did write a childrens story in my freshman year of high school all about baby elephants and Hinduism."

Potential agent: "Eh........you know I'll have to get back to you. Bye!" *Darts out of room*

SEE??? No help. At all. And now sam is criticizing my work saying that it is confusing. Mind that I wrote this for second graders. It almost pained me to make it so simple. Maybe I just can't get myself down to second grade simple. Seriously, i couldn't shorten it at all. Damn educational. That's another thing my writing won't be. Educational. Wait. I take that back. Nevermind.

Damn. Second graders are so picky.

I'm starting to think about what I would do if this was an adult religion book. Yes, that would be weird, but my mind is up for any option other than this. Hmmm...there would be a romance between my main character (who is named sneha XD, and who would be in her early twenties and not five) and some random hot guy who finds out she has been visiting the elephant each day. They could be from two totally different families, but somehow being with the elephant unites them. And they would definitely have some sort of superpower of their own, like the girl would have Shakri or something and she would help save the elephant with Vishnu. The guy would try to break the cage and fail. But the guys family would really be the poachers...and in the end the girl runs away from him when she hears of it. But then he leaves his family and goes to join her even though thats really frowned upon and they would go live in some cottage and raise the baby elephant because it would have lost its mom. Oh, i know, the guy could talk to the elephant....hmmm...

See how cool i could make this if i wasn't limited by time or by the fact that its a frickin second grade picture book?
