On saturday when we all arrived in Pittsburgh, we went to this guy Bob's house. He was in my dad's fraturnity at University of Cincinnati (long time ago). I was mostly bored. They had this guy a year older than me named Jake (figures...) but he spent most of the time zooming in on the girls in the football video game so i didn't really talk to him much...
That night we got a box in the Pirates stadium. It was Pirates vs. Mets. I rooted for the Pirates (don't like the mets). Mets won....But i couldn't stay in that mood too long cause we got back to the hotel and saw Michael Phelps make history winning his 8th gold medal. It was cool.
In the morning we went to help Jake move into his dorm at Carnegie Mellon. That place is so cool. First of all, his dorm is huge. Well, bigger than an average dorm. It is right across from both the laudromaut (sp) and the bathroom. Next he's in like a 5 minute walking distance of everything he needs (classes, food, his future fraternity (AEpi)). I am seriously going to that school. It is so wicked.
We interrupted moving in to go to all these informational and welcome meetings. They were kind of boring...but useful in helping me decide that i am so going there. After the meetings we went back to Jake's dorm, finished up moving in and then went to dinner. We went to this noodle place. I don't know if anybody noticed there but i kept having to blink back the tears. We drove back to Jake's dorm and said our goodbyes. I would not let go. Jake had to push me off. And then he told me I needed to get a Facebook..ew...The rest of us got in the car and saw him walking away. It felt like a relay race and i was just handed the baton. As we were driving away the tears really started rolling and my dad gave us this speech about this is what he wants, and he's never been more proud of him, and that it was natural and good to be sad. That just brought on more tears. I was better by the time we got back to the hotel.
We drove home today so now i'm back for a day and a half...
yea...

Well you're lucky to have an older sibling... i have to go to college first :P ... all college dorms are pretty much of equal coolness. I went to Johns Hopkins and the dorms were cool too... right near coldstone creamery and everything.
And facebook is pointless.
